The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) is the state agency responsible for dispersing state and federal funds for education programs. The MDE also provides services and technical assistance to enhance and improve educational programs and provides monitoring to ensure that federal and state funds are being expended in compliance with statute and regulation. The commitment for all of MDE is to provide every student in our schools with the education and skills to be well-prepared for postsecondary education and work.  http://www.michigan.gov/mde
